BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Firefighters in Bakersfield helped free a puppy that got his head stuck in a tight spot.

The pit bull, named Junior, got its head stuck in the rim of an automobile wheel. His owner brought Junior to a Kern County fire station for help.

Firefighters used vegetable oil to help ease the dog's head out of the hole.

The Kern County Fire Department posted about the rescue on its Facebook page.

The little pooch is fine and has returned to live with its owner and seven siblings.

Probably the highlight of their day. :)
